St Mary (Nativity) School

Kindergarten Program

The children learn in an atmosphere that is challenging, motivating, and structured, so that each child performs to the best of their capabilities.  We drill the basics every day.  Parents are amazed at the progress their children make by the end of the year!  We explore, invent, and imagine understanding and solving problems.  Our students learn because they enjoy learning!

The kindergarten students have full day of classes.  The curriculum includes Math, Religion, Art, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Handwriting, and English.  In addition, the students have library, physical education, computer, and music.

The kindergarten class performs in the Christmas Play and at their graduation.  They are also involved in service projects.

The kindergarten students receive an excellent education at St. Mary School.  Their foundation is very strong---spiritually and academically.

St. Mary (Nativity) School is excited to offer parents a dynamic program---The After School Program. It provides students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade opportunities for recreation and enrichment in a safe, secure environment. Activities are designed to enable self-discovery, expression and peer-interaction as well as free play, supervised homework and special activities.

During the After School hours students are given the opportunity to :

Enjoy an afternoon snack.

Strengthen social skills by participating in fun-filled indoor and outdoor sports and games

Utilize time for homwork and reading

Participate in hands-on resource activities such as computer activities.

All activities will begin as soon as school is dismissed (2:30 p.m.) and end at 5:30 p.m. All children must do 30-45 minutes of homework and reading time before going to the computer lab.
